The Order of Canons Regular of the Holy Cross is a priestly community of pontifical right, gathered about Jesus Christ, the Crucified and Eucharistic Lord. After the model of the Holy Angels and the Apostles, we want to love, honor and serve God.
The Order of Canons Regular of the Holy Cross, commonly known as the Crosiers, was established in the 13th century. We are a Roman Catholic religious community of priests and brothers living according to the Rule of St. Augustine.
Our commitment revolves around a communal life dedicated to prayer, community living, and service to the Church. Rooted in the teachings of St. Augustine, our mission centers on following the examples of the Holy Angels and the Apostles, with a profound focus on our devotion to Jesus Christ – particularly as the Crucified and Eucharistic Lord.
As a pontifical right community, our authority is derived directly from the Pope, underscoring our official recognition and endorsement by the Catholic Church. At the heart of our ethos is a harmonious blend of monastic lifestyle and active ministry, embodying the timeless values of prayerful contemplation and purposeful service.
